Review: I'm gonna keep this review really simple with two main points. Firstly, a switch of director will definitely correspond to a shift in filming style and other relevant factors. Trading in hearts and emotions for explosions and actions, the film shamelessly exploits mutant abilities for its own good. A guaranteed big box-office bucks from the established franchise fandom is already suffice enough for the filmmakers to approve vacuous, crowd-pleasing action sequences. Secondly, it's an extremely rare case for Hollywood to allow the killing of a few notably pivotal franchise players (getting rid of key characters literally means a franchise suicide). So, for that I salute the balls and guts of the filmmakers in making that bold decision of pulling the plugs. After all, nobody will ever stay dead in comic book universe.
