Review: Truth be told, 'X-Men' is one of those superhero classics that has inspired the blockbuster uprising of the comic genre for many years to come. It's a clever film that tackles human nature, fear and realism of having extraordinary people living among us. Without losing that nonsensical logic of mutant powers and capabilities, director Bryan Singer has managed to weave various beloved classic characters into one simple, down-to-earth narrative structure bound to aim and surprise. The emotional aspect of the flick is set pronounced through thematic sequences touching on issues regarding discrimination and social acceptance, which pretty much had summed up the main factor to drive character developments. The product turns out to be both an intelligent piece of entertainment and the beginning of 'darker' superhero movies.
